Accessing System Mode
(System Set-up Mode)
1. Press the MODE button and switch the transmitter
ON to reach System Mode.
Note that the transmitter RF section is switched off in
this mode.
2. Press the MODE button repeatedly to select the
required function, e.g. Model Name, Frequency
Channel etc., and adjust the parameter concerned
using INC+ or DEC-. (See also System Mode
flowchart.)
3. To quit System Mode switch the transmitter OFF/ON
briefly. This automatically takes you to the Base
Screen Display, which shows the voltage of the
transmitter battery and the model number or
transmission channel. Switching the transmitter OFF/
ON automatically reactivates the transmitter RF
section.

Accessing Model Name Input in System
Mode
Use the following procedure to move to the Model Name
Input function:
1. Press the MODE button and switch the transmitter
ON to reach System Mode.
2. Press the MODE button repeatedly to reach the Mo-
del Select Menu MDL (see first display column, top
left).
3. Select the desired model memory (model 1 - 10) using
INC+ or DEC-.
4. Model name: press the MODE button twice to reach
the Model Select Menu (MDA); the first letter flashes.
5. Select the first letter of your choice using INC+ or DEC-
, e.g. “C” (this letter flashes).
6. Press the CHANNEL button to move on to the se-
cond letter, and select it using INC+ or DEC- as
previously, e.g. “L” (this letter flashes).
7. Press the CHANNEL button to move to the third letter,
and select it using INC+ or DEC-, e.g. “K” (this letter
flashes).
8. Press the MODE and CHANNEL buttons
simultaneously (= ENTER), or switch the transmitter
OFF/ON briefly to assign the set name to the selected
model memory.

Entering the model name
(in System Mode)
The XS-6 system allows you to enter a three-character
name for each of the 10 available model memories. The
model you select is then shown by name in the normal
screen display. This special feature is a useful means of
identifying different models, settings etc.
