6 - 10 Section 6-8 - Direction Lock and Brake Adjustment
6-8-2 Direction Lock Adjustment Procedure
6-8-2-1 Manpower
1 person, 30 minutes
6-8-2-2 Tools
Open end wrench, 13 mm
6-8-2-3 Preparations
1.) Block Rear Casters.
2.) Push down Direction Lock Pedal.
3.) Turn Casters until they locks in forward pointing position.
6-8-2-4 Direction Lock Adjustment
1.) Loosen the retaining nuts on the brake rods on both Front Casters to allow room for adjustment.
2.) Remove the lock pins that secures the balljoints (See Figure 6-5 ).
3.) Pull balljoints apart.
4.) Each part of the separated balljoint shall match each other when the brake lever on the Casters are
in direction lock position, which is in left position on both Casters.
