Removing the CPU

Unlatch the socket release lever by pushing it down and away from the
socket (1).
▶
Fold back the socket release lever (2).

Rotate the socket release lever to lift the load plate away from the socket
(1).
Make sure that the load plate is in the fully open position.
▶
Carefully remove the CPU from its socket in a vertical motion (2).
