(1)
Press the [SETUP] key while in the initial menu, to
go to the SETUP mode.
(2)
Turn the Jog dial to select “Load PGM?” (“?”
flashes). Then press the [EXECUTE/YES] key.
The menu to select the loading device appears.
“
IDE2
” is the default setting and the indication
flashes.

You can load FDMS-3 program backup data saved on a CompactFlash
TM
card (or E-IDE hard disk). In the
following procedure, it is assumed that a CompactFlash
TM
card which contains backup program data is set to
the CF drive.

Press the [EXECUTE/YES] key while “IDE2” is
flashing.
You can now select programs to be loaded.

Select either “New PGM” or an existing program
number. Then press the [EXECUTE/YES] key.
The save process starts. The REMAIN counter (size
to save) starts counting down. (The following is an
example of saving data to backup number “
B01
”.)
When the data is saved “
COMPLETED!
” lights up on
the display. Then the system escapes from the
SETUP mode.

<Selecting all (or multiple) programs>
If you select "Save All (01-08)" and press the
[EXECUTE/YES] key, the display shows as below and
you can now select the range of the programs to be
saved. The first program number is flashing. In this
example, eight programs are recorded on the
current drive.
If you want to save all program data, simply press
the [EXECUTE/YES] key when the display shows as
above. To save multiple programs, specify the range
of programs and press the [EXECUTE/YES] key, as
described below.
Example: Saving programs 01 through 04
Rotate the shuttle dial clockwise to flash "08"
and use the jog dial to enter "04".
Example: Saving programs 03 through 06
When "01" is flashing, use the jog dial to enter
"03". Then rotate the shuttle dial clockwise to
flash "08" and use the jog dial to enter "06".
By rotating the jog dial, you can select an individual
backup program, as well as "Load All? (**-**) which
allows you to select multiple programs.

Select a program (or programs) to be loaded, and
press the [EXECUTE/YES] key.
You can select a program (or programs) in the
similar manner as selecting a program (or
programs) to be saved. See step (4) of "Saving in
FDMS-3 Ver3.0 format" above for details about how
to select a program (or programs).
After pressing the [EXECUTE/YES] key, the display
shows as below and you can now select the load
destination program. By default, "[New PGM]" is
shown. This option creates a new program for load
destination.
By rotating the jog dial, you can select an existing
program besides "[New PGM]". If you select an
existing program and press the [EXECUTE/YES] key,
the existing program data is overwritten by the
loaded data. If you do not want to overwrite an
existing data, select "[New PGM]".
