■ Maintenance and cleaning
► Cleaning DTCO 1381 tachograph
Clean the device body, screen and buttons
with a mildly damp cloth or a micro-fibre clean-
ing cloth.

Do not use abrasive cleaning materials,
solvents like thinner or gasoline.
►
Obligation of inspection for tacho-
graphs
Protective maintenance operations are not
necessary for DTCO 1381 tachograph. It
should be checked by an authorized workshop
every
two years
whether the DTCO 1381
tachograph works correctly.
Additional checks are required in below situ-
ations...
• If changes like road impulse number or tire
diameter are made on the vehicle,
• If repairs are made on DTCO 1381 tacho-
graph,
• If the license plate of the vehicle is
changed,
• When the UTC time deviates for more than
20 minutes.

Ensure that the installation label
is renewed in each additional check and
the foreseen information is present.
Within the obligation of foreseen inspec-
tion; ensure that the feed voltage of the
DTCO 1381 tachograph has not been
cut-off more than a total of 12 months; for
example via removing the vehicle battery
► Repair / replacement of DTCO 1381
tachograph
Authorized workshop can download the data
in DTCO 1381 tachograph and deliver them to
the related company.
If the recorded data cannot be copied due to a
malfunction, workshops have to issue a docu-
ment for the operator regarding this situation.
Archive the data or keep the document for
coming questions.
► Disposing of the components
Please dispose of DTCO 1381 tacho-
graph and system components that
belong to it according to the regulations
for disposal of EC tachograph in related
member state
