OPERATION
2) Turn the IADL switch on.
3) IADL light will be illuminated on the
instrument panel when differential lock is
activated, and a warning buzzer shall sound if
available.
WARNING
User is informed by buzzer on that differential
lock is activated.
Deactivating the IADL:
Deactivate the IADL when the vehicle is
returned to normal road conditions. Perform
the following procedure for deactivation:
1) Ensure that the wheels are not on slippery
surface and stop the vehicle completely.
2) Drive the vehicle very slowly by applying the
accelerator slowly to deactivate the differential
lock. You may need to drive the vehicle in
this speed for about 500 m to complete the
deactivation.
3) DCDL light will be turned off on the
instrument panel when DCDL is deactivated,
and the warning buzzer will not sound, if
available.
4) You can continue driving observing the legal
speed limits according to flow of the traffic.
Differential Lock
On tractor vehicles
How to Engage the Differential Lock
Always stop the vehicle completely to activate
or deactivate the differential lock. Activate the
differential lock before running into slippery road
conditions. Ensure that the road is not slippery
and any wheel is not skidding or slipping.
What Are the Points To Be Considered
When The Differential Lock Is Activated?
You shall monitor whether the differential lock
is completely activated or deactivated from
the warning light on the instrument panel and
use the differential lock by considering the
necessary distance before entering to rough
road conditions. Vehicle speed shall not exceed
20km/h while the differential is active. Do not
use differential lock on paved roads, and never
perform turns when the locks are engaged.
CAUTION
Deactivate the differential lock when driving the
tractor vehicles down the slopes. Trailer may be
folded due to the loss of the vehicle dynamics.
How to Disengage the Differential Lock
Vehicle shall be stopped and differential lock
shall be disengaged after making sure that
the vehicle moved far away from the slippery
surface. Differential Lock shall be disengaged
when the warning light on the instrument
panel is turned off after you have pressed the
switch on the center console. Deactivation
of the differential lock is performed when the
warning light on the instrument panel is turned
off and this may take about 1 km sometimes.
WARNING
When the differential lock is active completely,
vehicle will have a tendency to move outwards
of the turn while turning. Always disengage
differential lock while turning. Otherwise, the
differential of your vehicle may brake and you
may require road assistance.
