Safety
2.1
Safety instructions
–
Only use the product in its original condition without unauthorised modifications.
–
Only use the product if it is in perfect technical condition.
–
Observe the identifications on the product.
–
Only use the product in an industrial environment.
–
The product may generate high frequency interference, which may require interference suppression
measures in residential areas.
–
Before working on the product, switch off the power supply and secure it against being switched on
again.
–
When the input pressure is shut off, the functioning of the system means that a residual pressure of
<
0.1 MPa (1 bar; 14.5 psi) may remain at the output.
–
Comply with the handling specifications for electrostatically sensitive devices.
–
To exhaust the system: use shut-off valves in the compressed air supply line.
The product is equipped with a pneumatically-piloted shut-off valve. If there is pressure at pneumatic
connection 1, the shut-off valve is open in the normal position.
With preset parameters and applied input pressure P1 the shut-off valve automatically switches to the
pressurise state in the following cases:
–
Switch-off of the operating voltage or the load voltage
–
Interruption of the network communication with correspondingly set system parameters
–
Stopping of the higher-order controller (see manufacturer's specifications), e.g. in the case of
transmission of control programs, parameters, configuration data
If the shut-off valve was previously closed and the system was exhausted, the system is suddenly
pressurised. Take this response into account in the design of the system.
2.2
Intended use
The energy efficiency module is used to monitor and optimise compressed air consumption.
