4.2.3 Preparations for COM PROFIBUS 3.x and 5.0
1. Copy the Device data bases of the valve terminals into the
following directory on your programmer/PC:
- COM PROFIBUS 3.x: \COMPB3x\GSD
- COM PROFIBUS 5.0.x: \SIEMENS\CPBV50\GSD
The Device data base can be found on the accompanying
CD ROM:
VI03FB13.GSE
Please note
Update the slave catalogue, if you copy the Device data
base during work with COM PROFIBUS.
Menu: “File” - “Load GSD File”.
Symbols 2. In order to simplify configuration, the files on the CD
ROM have symbols of the valve terminals. Copy the De-
vice data bases of the valve terminals into the following
directory on your programmer/PC:
– COM PROFIBUS 3.x: \COMPB3x\BITMAPS
File: PBFB13EN.BMP
– COM PROFIBUS 5.0: \SIEMENS\CPBV50\BITMAPS
File: PBFB13EN.DIB
3. After selecting the master/host system, process the mask
“Bus parameter” in the menu “Configure”
– Bus profile
– Baud rate
Further information (directories, etc.) can be found in the file
“readme” in the main directory of the CD ROM.
