FREEZE and SYNC
The method of accessing the FREEZE and SYNC commands
depends on the controller used. Please refer to the docu-
mentation for your field bus module.
Caution
In the following cases, the FREEZE or SYNC mode will be
automatically reset:
– Switching the valve terminal on/off
– Stopping the field bus interface
The FREEZE mode will also be reset automatically in the
following case:
– Bus connection to the valve terminal interrupted (re-
sponse monitoring active).
FREEZE
With this function all the inputs of the valve terminal can be
“frozen”. The valve terminal then sends a constant input
image of all the inputs to the master. The following FREEZE
command updates the input image. The updated input image
is then sent constantly again to the master.
Return to normal operation
UNFREEZE command
SYNC
With this function all the outputs of the valve terminal can be
“frozen”. The valve terminal then no longer reacts to modifi-
cations to the output image in the master. The following SYNC
command causes the updated output image of the master to
be accepted.
Return to normal operation
UNSYNC command.
