When the controller is switched on it automatically imple-
ments a configuration NOMINAL-ACTUAL comparison. For this
configuration run it is important that:
– the configuration data are complete and correct.
– the field bus station is powered up so that it can be recog-
nised during determination of the ACTUAL configuration.
4.2.2 Information for commissioning
Please note
Take into account the following points. This ensures reli-
able operation of your application with the Festo valve
terminal.
– Interface IM 308-C, CP xx, ... on the correct module slot of
the automation device.
– The module slot number does not correspond to the
physical layout of the input/output modules.
– Note any restrictions regarding the number of digital in-
puts/outputs with the process image, e.g. S7-300/
CPU 315 DP 0.0...127.7.
– The set station number does not correspond to the confi-
gured peripheral address.
– For the configuration of the outputs (e.g. 8DO), the
number and types of pneumatic sub-bases are decisive
and not the number of mounted valves.
– Peripheral addresses of automation device modules must
not coincide with the configured peripheral addresses.
– Number of input bits: The number of bits always in-
creases by 4 (= status bits).
– Reserve positions are not permitted.
