5.4 Diagnosis via PROFIBUS-DP (DP standard)
Diagnostic words
The diagnostic information of a valve terminal is summarised
into diagnostic words. These diagnostic words are used to
report the following error statuses to the automation device:
– Operating voltage of the valves/outputs

– Output overloaded or short circuited.
– AS-i error (bus, power and slave error)
– Error during analog processing
Please note
The evaluation of the device-related diagnostic information
4..7 (octet 11..14) is only useful in connection with an AS-i
master integrated in the valve terminal.
The identifier or channel-related diagnosis listed in EN
50170 (DIN 19245) is not supported.
The valve terminal type 03/04-B provides the following diag-
nostic information in accordance with DIN 19245, Part 3.
