spindle, and turn them to the side. Remove the hardware (12) that secures the front end of spring leaf to
the front axle.
Front axle installation is the reverse order of disassembly.
Tighten the king pin nut (9) such that its torque reaches 65-75ft lb (90-100 N.m).
When front springs are replaced, the wheel shaft must be aligned to the frame. This does not indicate
wheel alignment. Certainly front wheel alignment shall be fulfilled when wheel shaft replacement.
The replaced front axle must be aligned to the frame. The distance from the center bolt at rear of left
spring to the center bolt at front of right spring must be the same as the distance from the center bolt at
rear of right spring to the center bolt at front of left spring (Ref Fig. C3).

Tighten the spring leaf hardware (12) to 65-75ft lb (90-100 N.m).
Tighten the installation hardware of shock absorber till rubber bushings expand to diameter of shock
absorber washers. Replace front wheels as stated in WHEELS AND TIRES section.
Lower the vehicle.
