Controlling System Configuration
Although, for security purposes, you should not attach the ANG/APS
systems to your corporate LAN until you have changed their IP addresses (as
described in Chapter 3), once you have connected Ethernet cables to the
systems, your only remaining hardware setup task is to connect a Windows
95/NT 4.0 laptop or desktop computer to the same LAN segment that the
ANG/APS will reside on. This computer will be used to remotely control the
Aurorean Policy Server and/or Aurorean Network Gateway during the
installation process.
Figure 22 illustrates how the systems are properly connected.
