Aurorean Installation & Service Guide
Configuring General Values of the ANG-3000/7000
Chapter 3
Installing Software & Setting Networking Configurables
NOTE
When using Auto-Link Recovery™ (ALR), only one VPN Domain Name
is assigned and shared by both primary and secondary systems. But,
using more than one VPN name for multiple systems linked over a
network is allowed with the exception of those systems used in an ALR
setting. Refer to the RiverMaster Administrator’s Guide for more
information about ALR.
3
Select the ANG type: either Remote (a stand-alone ANG) or Local (an
ANG with an accompanying APS).
NOTE
If you are configuring a local ANG, after completing the General window
you will be directed to continue set up using the RiverMaster application.
If you are configuring a remote ANG, you will be permitted to continue
set up using Aurorean Web Config.
4
Specify a Hostname for the ANG.
5
Click the Enabled or Disabled Intelligent Client Routing button.
When Intelligent Client Routing (ICR) is enabled on a local ANG,
Aurorean users can browse the Internet directly, outside the tunnel.
For remote ANGs, it indicates that ANGs will dynamically exchange
routing data and will update networks at the remote sites. For more
information on ICR, refer to the RiverMaster Administrator’s Guide.
NOTE
We strongly recommend you enable ICR for site-to-site tunnels. To
disable ICR for this configuration, consult Enterasys Customer Support.
6
For
local
ANG configuration only, enter the IP Address of the APS. If
you are configuring a remote ANG, skip to Step 8.
