Installing New System Software on the ANG-3000/7000
Begin by connecting the Aurorean Network Gateway and remote control PC
(laptop or desktop) via a hub or crossover cable (provided in the installation
box) as illustrated in Figure 27. To install the latest ANG system software,
perform the following steps:

Optional - Upgrade Linux kernel from V3.x to V3.5
!
Transfer the ANG installation file to the ANG via FTP
!
Install new ANG system software
!
Verify the ANG’s date/time and update if necessary
!
Reboot the ANG to enable the upgrade

CAUTION
If you are upgrading your ANG-3000/7000 from version 3.x to 3.5only,
you must upgrade the Linux kernel before installing new system
software. Follow the instructions in the next section.
