Step
Engage the impeller as follows:

Pull out the agitator handle completely from under the mixer
vessel.
Note:
A spring holds the handle retracted under the mixer vessel.

Lift the handle.
Result: The protective collar is lowered. The impeller baseplate
connects magnetically with the agitator drive head. A click is
heard when the contact is made.

Keep holding the handle and let the spring retract the handle
back under the mixer vessel. Use light force to control the
movement.
Note:
Verify visually that the impeller assembly is in contact with the agitator drive
head.
