System connectivity

Connection to FlexFactory

XDUO 2500 Mixer is connected to FlexFactory using a PROFIBUS deterministic network.
Industry standard connectors and cables are used for these connections.

When several mixers are connected to FlexFactory, it is recommended to use a PROFIBUS
repeater. Alternatively, a daisy chain scheme can be used. The communication to each
mixer is independent of the presence of other mixers and is not interrupted if one of the
mixers is turned off.

Connection via OPC interface

XDUO 2500 Mixer can be connected to other Xcellerex systems through OPC interface,
using the Ethernet connection port. Contact your GE representative for additional infor-
mation.
