Editing the materials
You can edit your materials at the Editor. In this case, you can launch the Editor directly from the
Presenter.

Right-click
on the Materials list, and select [Start Editor].
Editor starts up.

Select the material to be edited, and start editing.
For more information regarding Editor operation, refer to the DV-7 Instruction manual.
When you finished editing, click [EXIT] at the left top of the screen, and then click [OK] at the
following dialog box, to return to Presenter.
Importing material from an external source
Using CD-ROM, CD-R, and CD-RW disks, you can import image material that was created on a
computer. Also, if the DV-7 expansion pro-kit is installed, you can import from a card media as well.
The material must conform to the specifications given below.
• CD-ROM/CD-R/CD-RW format
ISO9660 Level 2, ISO9660 with Microsoft Juliet Extension, or HFS. Other extended types of
operating systems are not supported (such as ISO9660 with Apple Extension, HFS+, and so on).
• File format
DV stream file
• Data format (CODEC)
NTSC
PAL
Video: DV NTSC 720x480 29.97fps
Video: DV PAL 720x576 25fps
Audio: 48kHz, 16-bit PCM Audio
Audio: 48kHz, 16-bit PCM Audio
When writing CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW disks to use as materials, be sure to select Single session and
Write-at-once modes. Disks written in Packets or Multi-session are not compatible to this unit.
The directory of two (the root and another) or less (the root only) levels is accepted and supported. For
more information, refer to the instruction manuals that came with the CD writer software or video editing
software.
Also, if the DV-7 expansion pro-kit is installed, you can import from card medias as well as from CD-
R or hard disks. For more information regarding the Card adaptor connection, refer to the Instruction
manual of the DV-7 expansion pro-kit.
For details, refer to the Instruction manuals of CD writing software for computer, and video data editing
software.
You can use a DV export function, such as that of a video editing software, to export the material to a DV
deck and then use Editor to import the material from the DV deck.
