Importing materials from a video deck
Using the Editor, you can import materials from external connected devices such as a video deck. In
this case, you can launch the Editor directly from the Presenter.
1.
Right-click
in the Materials list, and select [Capture new material].
Editor starts up, and the capture screen appears.

Type the name of the new material to be captured.
Use the keyboard to enter the name.
3.
Select the jack to which the external device such as a video deck is connected.
4.
Start playback of the external device.
You can view the image on the monitor.
5.
Click the
button to start recording.
6.
Click the
button to stop recording.
At this point, the captured data becomes a material.
7.
Click the [CLOSE] button to close the capture screen.
8.
Click [EXIT] at the left top of the screen, and then click [OK] at the following dialog box.
The screen returns to Presenter.
9.
The newly imported material appears in the Materials list at the Edit Mode.
The material will be named for example “New 0001”.
You can also edit the captured material at Editor. For more information regarding Editor operation, refer
to the DV-7 Instruction manual.
