5.16.1 Run away load protection
Run away load protection is used to increase the
generatortorque limit in case when the speed of the load
isincreasing above the defined frequency limit. Used in
caseswhen upper system is controlling generator torque
limitand its needed to drive itself control situation when
speedincreases too high.
otee:
N
The maximum generator side torque limit is still
limited by the General torque limit parameter.
5.16.2 Brake monitoring function
The brake monitoring function is activated when thefunction
Brake acknowledge is used. The brake monitoringfunction
compares the brake feedback to the control signal. In other
words, a fault will be issued if the feedback ismissing when
drive is in Run state and the output frequencyis above the

Notes
P1.15.7
1547
Generator torque limit increase speed level “TorqLimInc Hz”
The frequency limit at which the generator side torque limitis started to increased
when speed of the motor increases(over speed)..
P1.15.8
1548
Generator torque limit increase high speed limit “MaxTorqLim Hz”
The frequency level at which point the torque defined bythe “Generator Torque Limit
increase maximum addition”is added entirely to the final torque limit.
P1.15.9
1549
Generator torque limit increase added torque “MaxTorqLim”
When this parameter is set greater than zero the generatortorque limit increases
at high speed is activated. Thisparameter defines the torque that is added to
generatortorque limit, linearly starting from ID1547 to ID1548. See Figure below.

opening limit and the fault delay has expired. Afault is also
triggered if the brake feedback indicates that thebrake is
open while the drive is in stop state. In some cases it is
possible that an encoder fault appearswhen the drive is run
against closed brake. The encoderfault can be disabled with
Control Options B8 when thedrive is controlling the brake to
be closed.
