• Press the „Alarms“ softkey and set the following parameters:
– MV high: 41 L/min
– MV low: 0.5 L/min
– Paw: 100 mbar
– VTi: 4.00 L
– f: 120/min
– Tapn: 60 s

• Press the „Sensors/Parameters“ softkey and set the following parameters:
– O2 monitoring: On
– Flow monitoring: On

• Press the „System configuration“ softkey.
• Press the „Ventilation“ softkey and set the following parameters:
– Pressure limitation: Off
– Plateau: On
– LPO: Off
• Start ventilation with the Savina 300.
O2 calibration
Action
• Select the „Sensoren/Parameter” menu.
• Press the O2 calibration „Start“ softkey and confirm with the rotary knob.
Test
The message „Disconnect patient“ is displayed.
Action
• Disconnect the ventilation tube from the inspiratory socket.
Test
The display shows „O2 calibration in progress“ and then „Reconnect patient“.
Action
• Reconnect the ventilation tube to the inspiratory socket.
Test
The following message is displayed: „O2 calibration OK“

VT flow control and VT measurement
Action
• While the test lung is being ventilated, push the Spirolog sensor to the left-
hand end position and back to the right-hand end position in order to trig-
ger a flow calibration.
• After the display message „Flow calibration OK“ appears, ventilate the test
lung for at least another three cycles.
• Read out the „VTe“ measured value and compare it with the specified toler-
ance range.
