when the earphone/microphone (sold separately) is connected.
Even when set to [Headset only], if no earphone/microphone is
connected, the ring tone or alarm tone will sound from the speakers.

Setting duration of mail ring tone and
tones when using GPS function
In the following cases, the mail ring tone does not sound even if mail is
received.
Calls are in progress i-
a
ppli is running
Camera is being activated (excluding Character reader and Bar
code reader)
GPS positioning is being performed
Pattern definitions are being updated
1Seg is being watched/recorded (except when using Multi Window)
Movie is being played
Area Mail is being automatically displayed
microSD Card is being viewed
i-motion is being downloaded (Streaming type)
i-Widget is being activated
Headset setting
Sounding ring tone only from earphone
The volume in the earphone/microphone is set using Set volume of the
various functions.
Do not wind the earphone/microphone cord around the FOMA terminal.
The internal antenna may not work properly.
Fully insert the earphone/microphone plug. Interrupted sound, static or
loud noise may result when only partially inserted.
A pop may sound when the power is turned on or the handset is
operated. This is not a malfunction.
