Field BUS: DNSL-DP Profibus DP and DNSL-EC Ether CAT
The field BUS modules enables a data exchange between a field BUS master and SafeLine. It is a gateway be-
tween SafeLine and the field BUS master.
The field BUS acts as a slave with 8 Bytes inputs and outputs data or 24 Bytes inputs and outputs.
Note : The module DNSL-DP or DNSL-EC is used only for diagnostic purpose.
Installation
The field BUS must be positioned in the first slot after the central module.
Station address : the station address [2 to 125] is defined in the SafeLine DESIGNER.

On field BUS click right mouse button
•
In Station address Field enter the address. Example. 50.
Click OK to accept. DP Master can not change the address.

SLOK off if Profibus fails
: The output O1 at the central module switchs off, if there is an error in the field BUS.
This is possible if this function is selected.
Safety shutdown mat DP8 : Bit EB81–EB85 indicate wire-break by safe shutdown mattes connected to
DNSL-ZMT.
SLOK DP8 : Bit 8 indicates SafeLine OK.
These discrepted bits can be used for another function, if they are not activited in the mask.
Ignore encoder signal : Spindle deactivation, look down.
Dynamic data update : The data will be updated immediately.
Update : The data will be updated every 100ms respectively every 25ms.
Octets : 1 octet (8 byte) respectively 3 octet (24 byte) will be exchanged.
Derivat Verwaltung (variants management) :
Ohne (without): The field will be not checked from SafeLine. All following variants will be checked.
DP103D : 3 outputs byte and 8 inputs byte, Profibus DP
DP108D : 8 outputs byte and 8 inputs byte, Profibus DP
DP3024D : 24 outputs byte and 24 inputs byte, Profibus DP
EC3024D : 24 outputs byte and 24 inputs byte, Ether CAT
Comparing check sums : The check sums will be compare with header, respectively without header.
NC Profibus ongoing (AB28) : The diagnosis data will be transferred via bit AB28 to the Numeric Control, if the
Numeric Control requires them
Spindle activation and deactivation:
If it is necessary to deactivate a spindle allowing the machine operation to continue, this function is provided.
Every spindle must have assigned an ID-number saved in the PLC. Up to 14 spindles are possible.
This function is possible with the DINA control equipment DNCO1 for selecting and display the wished spindle.
The 3. cipher of the ID-number is the position of the monitoring module in the rack of SafeLine. The 4. cipher is 1
for the first monitoring at the module and 2 for the second monitoring at the module.
The monitoring modules have to be at slot 2 to 9 in the rack. 1. module at slot 2, 2. module at slot 3 etc.
