config stacking force_master_role
Purpose
This command is used to configure the stacking force master role state.
Syntax
config stacking force_master_role state [enable | disable]
Description
This command is used to ensure the master role is unchanged when new device add to
current stacking topology. If the state is enabled, the master’s priority will become zero after
the stacking has stabilized.
Parameters
force_master_rol
e - Used to enable or disable the switch’s Stacking Force Master Role state.
The default setting is disabled.
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To enable the stacking force master role state:
DGS-3450:admin# config stacking force_master_role state enable
Command: config stacking force_master_role state enable
Success.
DGS-3450:admin#
