new_box_id

 - Specifies the new ID that will be assigned to the box. The parameter range is 

1-12. 

auto

 - Allows the box ID to be assigned automatically by the stack system. The new box ID 

will take effect after the next reboot. 

Restrictions 

Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command. 

 

Example usage: 

To configure the Switch that has a current box ID of 1 to have an automatic ID assigned by the Switch: 

DGS-3450:admin# config box_id current_box_id 1 new_box_id auto
