Clearing Passwords
The Compaq Deskpro Workstation AP250 is equipped with a Power-On
Password (P49) jumper on the system board to enable and disable the
Power-On Password. Installing the jumper will enable the Power-On Password
feature in setup, and removing the jumper will disable the Power-On
Password. See Figure 5-1 for the location of the jumper.

Windows NT Workstation Password
To establish a password in Windows NT Workstation:
1.
Click Start, Programs, Administrative Tools.
2.
Click User Manager, then follow the instructions to set a new password
for “new user.”
