To download a user template file:
Click
Download user template
. When the
Select location
window appears,
choose where you want to save the CSV file. This file can be opened with a simple
text editor such as Notepad or a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Office
Excel. If you previously added users, your user list appears in the file. If you have
not added users, a sample record appears.
Edit the file to include the following information for each user: first name, last name,
and extension number. Optionally, enter
true
to enable voicemail, or enter
false
to
disable voicemail. After you save the CSV file, import it as described below.
To import a user list from a file:
Click
Import User File
. Select the CSV file from your PC. After you import the file,
the data appears on the page. If you attempt to import more users than you have
licenses, a warning appears. The system will import only the allowed number of
users for the installed licenses.
To prepare a CSV file, you can use a user template file that you downloaded by
clicking
Download user template
. Alternatively, use a simple text editor such as
Notepad or in a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Office Excel. Follow these
guidelines:

Do not include a heading row.
•
Enter your user list in four columns, in the following order
:
first name, last
name, extension number and voicemail.
•
First name and last name are required for the successful addition of a user
record.
•
The extension number is optional. If it is included it must meet the
requirements that you specified on the
System Features > Internal Dialing
page.
