To reset a Cisco SPA 301 or Cisco SPA 501 IP phone:
STEP 1
Lift the receiver.
STEP 2
To connect to the Interactive Voice Response unit, press the asterisk key four
times:

STEP 3
After the greeting, enter the following option:
73738
(R-E-S-E-T).
STEP 4
Press the pound key (#) to submit.
STEP 5
When prompted, press
1
to confirm.
STEP 6
Wait about 40 seconds for the
Option Successful
message, and then hang up.
To reset a Cisco SPA 525G and SPA 525G2 IP phone:
STEP 1
Press the Setup key on the phone keypad.
STEP 2
Scroll down to
Device Administration
, and press
Select
.
STEP 3
Scroll down to
Factory Reset
, and press
Select
.
STEP 4
When the confirmation message appears, select
OK
.
To reset other Cisco SPA 300 Series and Cisco SPA 500 Series IP phones:
STEP 1
Press the Setup key on the phone keypad.
STEP 2
Scroll down to
Factory Reset

To reset a Cisco SPA 8800 IP Telephony Gateway:
STEP 1
To use the Interactive Voice Response unit, connect an analog phone to an FXS
port of the SPA 8800 gateway.
STEP 2
Lift the receiver of the FXS phone.
