Nightlight
A night light (5) is present on the baby unit.
The nightlight can be set with a dual function:
nightlight at minimum intensity and steady to
reassure the child while he sleeps, and a nightlight
with high intensity, variable light to accompany
him while he falls asleep.
Nightlight On/Off in Minimum intensity, fixed
and variable intensity modes
Press the nightlight On/Off button (3) and the
nightlight will switch on at minimum intensity
and steady.
If during this operating mode, you press the
nightlight On/Off button (3) once, the Variable
brightness nightlight mode will be activated.
Brightness will automatically vary from maximum
level to minimum level.
At the twelfth minute, nightlight brightness will
remain fixed at minimum level.
- 0-4 minutes at maximum-medium high intensity
- 4-8 minutes at medium-high intensity
- 8-12 minutes at medium-low-minimum intensity
- over 12 minutes of nightlight at minimum
intensity and steady
During the Variable brightness nightlight
operating mode, if the nightlight On/Off button
(3) is pressed once, light brightness will return
steady at minimum level.
If the nightlight On/Off button (3) is pressed
again in this operating mode,
the brightness variation cycle will begin again,
starting from maximum level.
Press the nightlight On/Off button (3) button
again for 3 seconds and the nightlight will switch
off, both in minimum, steady brightness and in
Variable brightness nightlight mode.
For energy savings, when the baby unit (primarily
in transmitter mode) is being powered via Alkaline
batteries, the nightlight, if in minimum intensity
and steady mode, switches off automatically 5
minutes after the end of the Variable brightness
nightlight operating mode cycle.
If the baby unit (primarily in transmitter mode)
is being powered via mains adapter (1), the
nightlight will remain on in both modes until the
button (3) is pressed again for 3 seconds.
The nightlight can be activated when the baby
unit is in Baby Monitor mode, in Music mode or
when it is off.

Playing from a music player that is not included
It is possible to play music stored on an external
music player, not included, by means of the baby
unit loudspeaker (10).
ATTENTION: music can be played only if the baby
unit is not in Baby Monitor mode.
Switch on the music player and adjust volume.
Connect the two supplied audio cable jacks to the

input (11) on the baby unit.
Position the baby unit and music player on a flat,
stable surface, away from the reach of children.
Press the lullaby on/off/selection button (4) for
about 3 seconds. The baby unit will automatically
play music stored in the external music player.
If the baby unit is already in music mode and is
playing lullabies, to activate the MP3 player (not
included), simply connect the supplied audio
cable (16), already connected to the player, to the
baby unit audio input (11).
Attention:
To select songs to listen to or adjust the volume,
use the music player functions themselves. It is
not possible to select songs or adjust playback
volume using the buttons on the baby unit.
Attention:
Be sure to adjust the volume of the external music
player to a moderate level before connection to
the baby unit.
Attention:
If the music player is off, no sound will be heard
from the baby unit loudspeaker.
Attention:
Artsana S.p.A disclaims any responsibility for any
breakage and malfunction of the music player.
Attention:
if, during playback of MP3 player (not supplied),

will be deactivated and the lullabies stored in the
baby unit will be automatically played.
To switch off music play, press the lullaby on/off/
selection button (4) again for about 3 seconds.
Temperature sensor
A temperature sensor (9) that detects the child’s
room temperature is located on the back of the
baby unit. The temperature is shown on the
display (5) of the parent unit in Baby Monitor
mode. For details, see paragraph ‘Display of
Temperature detected by the baby unit sensor’.
To ensure that the data is detected reliably, make
sure that the sensor (9) on the back of the unit is
positioned in a free area and not in contact with
any other objects or surfaces.
Important: the temperature sensor (9) on the
baby unit should be used only as indicative tool
for detecting the temperature in the child’s
room and is not intended to be used as a medical
instrument.
