- The adapter cord may constitute a risk of
strangulation, keep out of reach of children.
- Periodically inspect mains adapter (1): If
the power cord or plastic parts show signs of
damage, do not use them and contact a qualified
technician.
- Do not leave mains adapters (1) plugged into
the outlet when devices are not in use and/or not
connected to the mains adapters (1)
2.1.2 Modes of use - Switching on and
Adjustment
The baby unit (primarily in transmitter mode)
must be positioned about 1 - 1.5 metres from
the child, on a flat, stable surface and with the
microphone (8) directed toward the child.
Attention: the baby unit, supplied audio cable
(16), mains adapter (1) and its power cord must
be kept out of reach of children.
Switching on the baby unit in Baby Monitor mode
Press the on/off button (2) for about 3 second.
The baby unit (primarily in transmitter mode)
will switch on.
The power and link indicator light (12) will
begin to flash green to indicate that the baby
unit is searching for a connection to start
audio transmission with the parent unit. Once
connection has been established between the 2
units, the power and link indicator light will light
up steady green. Keep the button (2) pressed for
3 seconds until the green power and link indicator
(12) switches off. The baby unit (primarily in
transmitter mode) will switch off.
Volume adjustment of the baby unit
loudspeaker
The + (6), - (7) volume adjustment buttons
regulate sound volume from the parent unit in
case of the “talk” function in Baby Monitor mode,
and lullaby volume played from the baby unit in
Music mode. Press the + (6) and - (7) buttons to
adjust the volume of the baby unit loudspeaker
(10) and select the desired level.
The unit offers up to 9 volume setting levels. The
factory set volume level is 5.
Press the “+” button (6) to increase one level.
Press the “-“ (7) button once to decrease one
level.
A double beep will be heard each time the
maximum or minimum level is met.
Nightlight
A night light (5) is present on the baby unit.
The nightlight can be set with a dual function:
nightlight at minimum intensity and steady to
reassure the child while he sleeps, and a nightlight
with high intensity, variable light to accompany
him while he falls asleep.
Nightlight On/Off in Minimum intensity, fixed
and variable intensity modes
Press the nightlight On/Off button (3) and the
nightlight will switch on at minimum intensity
and steady.
If during this operating mode, you press the
nightlight On/Off button (3) once, the Variable
brightness nightlight mode will be activated.
Brightness will automatically vary from maximum
level to minimum level.
At the twelfth minute, nightlight brightness will
remain fixed at minimum level.
- 0-4 minutes at maximum-medium high intensity
- 4-8 minutes at medium-high intensity
- 8-12 minutes at medium-low-minimum intensity
- over 12 minutes of nightlight at minimum
intensity and steady
During the Variable brightness nightlight
operating mode, if the nightlight On/Off button
(3) is pressed once, light brightness will return
steady at minimum level.
If the nightlight On/Off button (3) is pressed
again in this operating mode,
the brightness variation cycle will begin again,
starting from maximum level.
Press the nightlight On/Off button (3) button
again for 3 seconds and the nightlight will switch
off, both in minimum, steady brightness and in
Variable brightness nightlight mode.
For energy savings, when the baby unit (primarily
in transmitter mode) is being powered via Alkaline
batteries, the nightlight, if in minimum intensity
and steady mode, switches off automatically 5
minutes after the end of the Variable brightness
nightlight operating mode cycle.
If the baby unit (primarily in transmitter mode)
is being powered via mains adapter (1), the
nightlight will remain on in both modes until the
button (3) is pressed again for 3 seconds.
The nightlight can be activated when the baby
unit is in Baby Monitor mode, in Music mode or
when it is off.
Switching on/off the baby unit in Music mode
Playing Lullabies
The baby unit can play 5 lullabies to reassure your
child while he sleeps.
Press the lullaby on/off/selection button (3) for
about 3 seconds. The baby unit will begin to play
music in a sequence of 5 stored lullabies.
If the baby unit is already in music mode and
connected to an MP3 player (not included),
simply remove the supplied audio cable (16)
from the baby unit audio input (11) to activate
the lullabies.
ATTENTION: it is only possible to activate
lullabies if the baby unit is not in Baby Monitor
mode.
To select a lullaby, press the lullaby on/off/
selection button (4) until you find the one you
wish to play.
To adjust lullaby volume, see Paragraph ‘+ -
Volume adjustment of the baby unit loudspeaker’.
Attention:
if while playing lullabies, the supplied audio
cable jack (16) is inserted in the audio input (11)
of the baby unit, the lullabies will be deactivated
and music from the MP3 player (not included),
switched on and connected to the other end of
the audio cable (16), will play
To switch off the lullaby feature, press the lullaby
on/off/selection button (4) again for about 3
seconds.
Each time lullabies are switched off and on again,
the play sequence will start with the lullaby after
the last one heard.
Playing from a music player that is not included
It is possible to play music stored on an external
music player, not included, by means of the baby
unit loudspeaker (10).
ATTENTION: music can be played only if the baby
unit is not in Baby Monitor mode.
Switch on the music player and adjust volume.
Connect the two supplied audio cable jacks to the
audio output of the music player and to the audio
input (11) on the baby unit.
Position the baby unit and music player on a flat,
stable surface, away from the reach of children.
Press the lullaby on/off/selection button (4) for
about 3 seconds. The baby unit will automatically
play music stored in the external music player.
