CURVE
The Strength/Duration (S/D) Curve is an electrodiagnostic
method to measure whether a muscle is showing signs of
denervation or to assess the re-innervation process.
Complete the following steps to create and access
customized sequences:
1. Select the Electrotherapy icon from the Home screen.
2. Select the S/D icon, and the screen below will appear:
3. Select the desired waveform by pressing either the
Mono Rectangular Pulsed or Mono Triangular Pulsed
icon
4. Select the phase duration by pressing the left and
right arrows to reach desired duration, or by capturing
a data point and selecting the Confirm icon after
treatment has begun.
• If the waveform is Mono Rectangular Pulsed, then the
phase duration will decrease to next step each time
the Confirm icon is pressed.
• If the waveform is Mono Triangular Pulsed, then the
phase duration will increase to next step each time the
Confirm icon is pressed.
5. Press the Start button to begin therapy, the Pause
button to pause treatment, or the Stop button to
terminate the treatment.
6. When treatment has completed, the Treatment
Summary screen will appear with the following
options:
• Save therapy information to USB Flash drive by
inserting a USB Flash drive into the device and
pressing the Save to USB Flash Drive icon.
• Repeat the treatment by pressing the Run This
Treatment icon.
• Save the treatment protocol by pressing the Save
Protocol icon. Refer to the CUSTOM PROTOCOLS
section for detailed instructions for saving customized
settings.
NOTE:
The Intelect® Neo Clinical Therapy System
remembers the last S/D Curve treatment’s data points
since the unit was turned on. To clear or reset the data
points, select the Reset S/D Curve Data icon from the
treatment therapy screen.
