Juicer – The Classic Juicer
Pureeing and
Homogenising
Use the homogenising blank (5) instead of the
screen to puree or homogenise. Place a bowl or
container under the front opening. If you puree
juicy food, place a second bowl under the juice
outlet unit. It is normal for liquid to come out at
the outlet unit and motor housing.
Suitable Food
You can make fruit sauces out of fruit (see
Recipes, page 51), baby and senior food out of
fruit and vegetables (see Recipes, page 52), nut
butter out of pureed fresh nuts (see Recipes,
page 52), and delicious ice cream or sorbet
out of frozen fruit (see Recipes, page 47). The
Champion offers you a wide range of delicious
possibilities.
Preparation
If you do not want to have any seeds or skin
in your puree, remove them first. Every kind of
soft and juicy food can be homogenised with
the Champion.
Caution
Do not try to puree dry food such as grain or
beans. Since they contain little or no fluid, they
cannot be pureed. We recommend steeping
them over night.
Nuts also get a special treatment (see page
52).

Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the nylon parts immediately after use.
Only use cold water and washing-up liquid.
Warm and hot water can cause the parts to
warp.
Never wash the nylon parts in hot water.
Do
not clean parts in the dishwasher. All food
particles must be removed – do not let the bits
dry and stick to the parts. Use an absorbent
cloth and a brush to clean these parts, and
clean the screen by tapping it on the edge of
the table and then rinsing it well.
Always make sure that there are no food
bits left in the screen: this is crucial for the
juice yield of your Champion.
If the parts are very stained (i.e. carrot stains),
soak them. Add washing-up liquid, scrub them
with a brush, and rinse them under running
water. Clean the motor housing with a moist
absorbent cloth.
