Management
The Access Navigator includes RS-232 and Ethernet ports for local and remote management, provisioning,
and testing (see Figure 1-3). Flow-through provisioning enables the Access Navigator to pre-provision, test
and manage remote Access Bank II units to provide the required voice and data services. The Access
Navigator also provides host support for provisioning and managing Adit 600 terminals.

Command Line Interface
The command line interface is a simple user interface that controls configuration and maintenance
operations. There are two ways to use the command line interface:

A VT-100 terminal (or a PC running terminal emulation software such as Hyper Terminal)
connected to the 9-pin (DB9) RS-232 port. The port runs at 9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no
parity, and no flow control.
l
A Telnet connection using the 10Base-T Ethernet port. To use Telnet, the user must first assign
an IP address to the Access Navigator using the RS-232 interface.
