- New wide converter and telephoto converter configurations
The optical accessories are being enhanced for the PowerShot G3 to respond to the diverse needs of users.
With the WC-DC58N Wide Converter, which converts the focal length of the master lens by a factor of about
0.7, the focal length after mounting becomes approximately 24.5 mm (wide-angle setting, 35 mm film equivalent).
In the same way, the TC-DC58N Tele-converter converts the master lens by a factor of approximately 1.75,
creating a focal length of about 245 mm (telephoto setting, 35 mm film equivalent). In addition, the existing
250D 58mm close-up lens permits macro-mode photography in the telephoto setting (Approx. 10cm), making a
maximum of 37 by 27 mm area photograph possible. WC-DC58N and TC-DC58N for PowerShot G3 are not
able to use on the PowerShot G2/G1. And WC-DC58 and TC-DC58 for PowerShot G2/G1 are not able to use
on the PowerShot G3.

When these conversion lenses are attached, however, using the optical finder will cause an eclipse to form if not
in the wide-angle setting with the wide-angle conversion lens or not in the telephoto setting with the telephoto
conversion lens.
