B. Control Panel Menu

The control panel menu consists of the menus relating to printing and menus relating to the sys-
tem, printer and network setups.

Press the MENU key to  go to the control panel menu when “READY” or “POWER SAVER

MODE” is displayed in the status display monitor. 

The following menus are available in the control panel menu.

• CHECK AND PRINT (only when the optional hard disk is installed.)
• PRINT PAGES FROM LIST
• RESET
• SYSTEM SETUP
• PRINTER SETUP
• PS SETUP
• PCL SETUP
• VISUAL CAL
• COLOR ADJUSTMENT
• I/O PORT SETUP
• NETWORK PROTOCOL SETUP
• NETWORK SERVICE SETUP
• PANEL LANGUAGE
• SERVICE (for service engineers)

The panel operation procedures in the PRINT menu are as follows.
1) Select a menu group with the MENU key.
2) Press the ENTER key.
3) Select a mode menu with the MENU key.
4) Specify the mode value or item with up and down arrow keys.
5) Press the ENTER key.
6) Press the CANCEL key.
7) “READY” appears in the message area of the display window.

Figure 1-7-2 shows the keys available for operating the PRINT menu.

Details of each menu are explained in the following sections.

1. CHECK AND PRINT menu

The CHECK AND PRINT menu allows the user to make multiple copies of  print jobs which are
specified as Check and Print by the printer driver. 

Print jobs are stored in the hard disk in the printer.  
After checking the output copy, specify the print job you want to copy and the number of

copies to print by using the up and down arrow keys in the CHECK AND PRINT menu and press
ENTER key to print.  The range of the available number of copies is from 0 to 999.  (Default value
is specified by the printer driver.)   

2. PRINT PAGES FROM LIST menu

The PRINT PAGES FROM LIST menu allows you to make test prints relating to the printer con-
figuration, memory capacity, network information and font list of the printer.

To make a test print, select a test print you want to make using the up and down arrow keys

and then press ENTER key.

The PRINT PAGES FROM LIST contains the following test prints.
