The Flash ROM has a memory capacity of 1MB and stores self test program which is executed
while booting up the system.

h. AIR (U52)

The AIR is used for processing data which is sent to the video interface.  Smoothing is processed
in the AIR.

EEPROM (U53)

The EEPROM has a memory capacity of 32KB which is capable of clearing electrically stored
data and writing new data.  It is used for storage of persistent printer parameters, such as print
environment and number of prints, that must be maintained across power cycles.
