2. Controller test print
When “READY” or “POWER SAVER MODE” is displayed in the message area on the control
panel, press the MENU key once (twice if the optional hard disk is installed). Press the ENTER
key when “PRINT PAGES FROM LIST” appears. By this, the printer enters the page print menu.
Use the up and down arrow keys to select the page you want to output and then press the
ENTER key to print the selected page.

• PostScript Font List
• Job Log (only when the optional hard disk is installed)

The controller test prints, which can be printed from the menu other than the “PRINT PAGES
FROM LIST” menu, are as follows.
• VisualCal Limit and 30% Match (“VISUALCAL” menu)
• VisualCal Gray Balance (“VISUALCAL” menu)
• Color Test Page (“VISUALCAL” menu, same as Test Page)
• Service Page (“SERVICE” menu)
When printing a test page, paper can be picked up from the built-in cassette only and options
(duplexing unit, paper feeder) cannot be used.
The test pages are explained in the following pages.
