Configuring a Model Number
Identification of the hardware chassis will is necessary if a network manager device
will access the node via SNMP. OmniView displays a graphic representation of the
configured chassis.
If the node will not be accessed by OmniView, configuration of a model
number is not necessary; however, configuring it now will avoid a problem
if OmniView is used at a later time.
To configure a model number, press
[D]
at the SNMP Configuration Menu (or
[A], [A],
[D], [D]
from the Main Menu). The currently configured model will be displayed. If the
value needs to be changed, press
[A]
, then enter the correct value:

= FRX6000 Model 2
3
= FRX6000 Rackmount
6
= FRX4000
The Rackmount chassis is currently the only standard model of FRX6000;
however, Model 2 is supported for existing customers.
