Broadcast Pix
V8.5
1.10.3
1.10.3 Selecting 4:3 or 16:9 Aspect Ratios
The Broadcast Pix Slate system can switch between 4:3 and 16:9 shows easily,
without the need of a restart. All outputs are a pixel for pixel (or 1:1) output and rely
on the output device (like a monitor, projector or VTR) to apply any letterboxing. If a
HD card is installed the HD output may compensate in place of the output device,
see the next section regarding Dual Aspect.
To change the show’s Aspect Ratio:
1.
In BPswitcher, click on
Setup
and a
drop down window will appear, then select
System Settings…
as shown on the right.
The System Settings window will appear,
as shown below.
2.
In System Settings window, click on the
Video
Tab, which will bring up the
various video settings.
3.
Under the Aspect Ratio section,
Select either the
4:3 (Standard)
or
16:9 (Widescreen)
radio button.
4.
Click on the
OK
button.
This will close the System Settings
window.
The Aspect Ratio is now changed.
Note:
When the Video Aspect Ratio changes, so to does the Multi-View to compensate for the source
monitors. You may need to create multiple layouts, some for 4:3 shows and others for 16:9 shows.
See section 2.5.9.
