6.1 Recording a Clip
To record a clip onto the Broadcast Pix Clip Store:
If you have a Slate 5008G, you can select which input you wish to record from in the
top right corner of the Clip Ingest window, as shown on the next page
If you have a Slate 5016G or Slate 5032G:
1.
If the Multi-View is open, quit the Broadcast Pix Switcher application by going
to
File, Quit.

On the control panel, select the
[Failsafe]
PixButton in Device Control-A and it
will illuminate orange, as shown below.

In the Sources Row of the control panel, select the desired
[Source]
button for
the device you wish to record from, and the button will illuminate orange.
The source numbers shown correspond to the 16 or 32 video inputs on the
router. For inputs 17-32 on a Slate 5032G, press the
[Shift
] button in ME 2.
To ensure proper video selection, make sure the serial fail-safe cable is
connected from the control panel to the router
