Note
The first time you start the Con fi gu ra tor you will be as ked to en ter your user ID and pass word. Use »Ser vi ce« as your 
user ID and also »Ser vi ce« as the pass word. Plea se note that the se words are case-sen si ti ve! Once you’ve been log ged 
on to the Con fi gu ra tor you can chan ge your user ID and pass word as you like.

Contents of the CD-ROM

In the se ope ra ting in struc tions we would like to give you a brief sum ma ry of the soft wa re in clu ded in the sco pe of

supp ly for the sys tem. The soft wa re pro grams them sel ves are not des cri bed in the se in struc tions. Should any que -

stions or pro blems ari se whi le you are using the pro grams you can use the on li ne Help functi on for as si stan ce. All

pro grams  are  equip ped  with  a  com pre hen si ve  on li ne  Help  functi on.

Programs for configuring the PABX

Professional Configurator:

The set tings for the in di vi du al fea tu res of your PABX are made in the PABX con fi gu ra ti on. You can con fi gu re your

ex ter nal MSN and as sign the se num bers to in di vi du al, in ter nal users, or to a team con si sting of se ve ral users (mem -

bers).  You  can  also  as sign  a  name  for  each  in di vi du al,  in ter nal  user  and  con fi gu re  the  va ri ous  fea tu res  se pa ra te ly

(such as aut ho ri za ti on pri vi le ges, ex chan ge line ac cess, cost log ging, etc. ), or you can ap ply the set tings of one user to

tho se for a dif fe rent user. Con fi gu ra ti on is also used to de fi ne the ca len dar, num bers for call con trol (un re stric ted

num bers, re stric ted num bers) and emer gen cy or di rect calls. You can also make ge ne ral set tings for the PABX, for

call data log ging or for re mo te ac cess to the PABX sys tem.

Charge Manager: 

You can use the char ge ma na ger pro gram for log ging con nec ti on data for rea ding out or clea ring call data re cords

sto red in the PABX and user-spe ci fic coun ters. The call data re cords that are read out can be eva lua ted using va ri ous

sor ting and fil te ring functions, or ex port ed for pro ces sing in ot her pro grams. 

For ex am ple: Sor ting functions al low you to com pi le data re cords ac cor ding to in ter nal users, pro ject num bers or

num bers that are di aled/trans fer red. The fil te ring functions can be used to dis play data re cords con tai ning in di vi du -

al pro per ties. You can set the se fil te ring functions to fit your spe ci fic needs.

Telephone Directory Manager:

The PABX sys tem is equip ped with an in te gra ted  te le pho ne di rec to ry, in which you can sto re up to 500 num bers,

with their as so cia ted na mes. You can ac cess the PABX te le pho ne di rec to ry with all pho nes con nec ted with the sys -

tem. Sys tem te le pho nes can also use the PABX menu. Ot her te le pho nes can use a code to dial from the te le pho ne di -

rec to ry.  En tries  are  ad ded  to  the  di rec to ry  using  the  Te le pho ne  Di rec to ry  Ma na ger  on  the  CD.  The  im port/ex port

functi on  of  the  te le pho ne  di rec to ry  ma na ger  al lows  im por ted  or  ex port ed  data  to  be  edi ted  and  pro ces sed  in  ot her

pro grams.

ControlCenter:

The  Con trol  Cen ter  mo ni tors  the  ac ti vi ties  of  the  rou ter  for  estab lis hing  and  se ve ring  a  con nec ti on.  It  in di ca tes  for

ins tan ce: the pro vi der used for the cur rent con nec ti on, the type of con nec ti on (ISDN or DSL), the IP ad dress, the du -

ra ti on, the port, the up- or downloa ded data vo lu me. You can also ter mi na te an on going con nec ti on or estab lish a

new one.

Download Manager:

Using this pro gram you can load new sys tem soft wa re via your PC into the PABX. You can load new soft wa re via the

in te gra ted USB port, or via the Ether net port »LAN« of your PABX sys tem. If an ISDN card is al rea dy in stal led in your

PC you can also up da te the sys tem soft wa re via the in ter nal ISDN con nec ti on of the PABX.
