Con nec tions to the Voi ce box sys tem
·
Only one con nec ti on is pos si ble at a time to the Voi ce box.
·
Up to two si mul ta ne ous con nec tions can be made to the PABX Voi ce box sys tem.
·
Con nec tions to the Voi ce box sys tem in clu de lis te ning to an noun ce ments, mes sa ges or rec or -
dings, lea ving mes sa ges.
·
Rec or ding of calls, or re mo te con trol of a Voi ce box.
·
If the ma xi mum num ber of con nec tions to a Voi ce box, or to the Voi ce box sys tem has been rea -
ched, furt her at tempts will be re fu sed, eit her with a ne ga ti ve ac knowled ge ment sig nal or a busy
sig nal.

If a call for a sub scri ber or a team can not be trans fer red to a Voi ce box for this rea son, the call will
con ti nue to be sig na led at the cor re spon ding sub scri ber(s).
Num ber of Voi ce bo xes and free rec or ding time for each Voi ce box
The num ber of avai la ble Voi ce bo xes and the rec or ding time avai la ble de pend on the ca pa ci ty of the Com pact Flash
Card used in the sys tem. The ma xi mum num ber of Voi ce bo xes is de fi ned in the tab le be low, ba sed on the ca pa ci ty of
the Com pact Flash Card. This num ber is spe ci fied in the PC con fi gu ra ti on, but only when con fi gu red Voi ce bo xes are
ac ti ve.
Note
If you have con fi gu red fe wer Voi ce bo xes than the ma xi mum num ber, the avai la ble sto ra ge (rec or ding) ca pa ci ty is
dis tri bu ted among the se Voi ce bo xes. Around half of the to tal sto ra ge spa ce is re ser ved for WAV fi les (me lo dies)
that are sto red on the CF Card (with 16 MB ~ 8MB, with 512 MB ~ 256 MB). If the avai la ble sto ra ge ca pa ci ty for the
Voi ce box is ex haus ted, the cal ler will hear a busy sig nal at the be gin ning of the an noun ce ment. Furt her rec or ding
and a sign-off an noun ce ment are not pos si ble.

xes for a 64 MB (top) and a 1GB (bot tom) Com pact Flash Card. The screen mask for the Con fi gu ra tor shows the num -
ber of Voi ce bo xes that can be set up for a par ti cu lar con fi gu ra ti on. Only sub scri ber 20 is gi ven in the ex am ple shown
here; this sub scri ber can use the ma xi mum rec or ding time in this case. The tab le be low shows the po ten ti al rec or ding
time and num ber of pos si ble Voi ce bo xes as a functi on of the ca pa ci ty of the Com pact Flash Card.
