8 - CAS BACnet Explorer (cont.)
8.2 - CAS BACnet setup
The following instructions are for setting up CAS Explorer for the first time on BACnet MS/ST and BACnet/IP.
8.2.1 - CAS BACnet MS/TP setup
Connect either the serial or USB to RS-485 converter to your PC and the 3-pin BACnet MS/TP connector on ProtoNode RER.
In CAS Explorer, do the following:
1.
Click
Settings
.
2.
Check the
BACnet MSTP
check box and uncheck the
BACnet/IP
and
BACnet Ethernet
check boxes.
3.
Set the BACnet MSTP MAC address to 0.
4. Set the BACnet MSTP Baud Rate to 38400.
5. Click
OK
.
6.
In the bottom right corner, make sure the
BACnet MSTP
box is green.
7.
Click
Discover
.
8. Check all four (4) check boxes.
9.
Click
Send
.
8.2.2 - CAS BACnet/IP setup
Connect a straight through or cross Ethernet cable from the PC to the ProtoNode.
In CAS Explorer, do the following:
1.
Click
Settings
.
2.
Check the
BACnet/IP
check box and uncheck the
BACnet MSTP
and
BACnet Ethernet
check boxes.
3. In the
Select a Network Device
box, select the network card of the PC by clicking it.
4. Click
OK
.
5. In the bottom right corner, make sure the
BACnet/IP
box is green.
6.
Click
Discover
.
7.
Check all four (4) check boxes.
8. Click
Send
.
