8 - CAS BACnet Explorer
The CAS BACnet Explorer is for validating the ProtoNode in the field.
ProtoCessor has arranged a complementary two-week fully functional copy of CAS BACnet Explorer (through Chipkin Automation) that
can be used to validate BACnet MS/TP and/or BACnet/IP communications of the ProtoNode in the field without having to have the BMS
Integrator on site. A serial or USB to RS-485 converter is required for testing BACnet MS/TP.
8.1 - Downloading the CAS Explorer and requesting an activation key
1.
To request the complementary BACnet CAS key, go to http://app.chipkin.com/activation/twoweek/ and fill in all the information.
Enter
Vendor Code “BAF2013.”
When you are finished, the key will be sent to the e-mail address you submitted. You must copy and
paste the long key from this e-mail into the CAS key activation page.

Go to the following Web site and download and install the CAS BACnet Explorer on your PC:

In the CAS activation form, enter the e-mail address and paste the CAS key that was sent. When you are finished, click
Activate
.
