Installation
This chapter provides information about system requirements, items shipped with your
Kaleido-IP unit and it will guide you through the installation of a Kaleido-IP X320, or
Kaleido-IP X120 multiviewer.
Getting Organized / Unpacking
Required Materials
Your Kaleido-IP system package includes the following:
• Kaleido-IP unit
• Installation hardware and rails, including manufacturer’s documentation for the rails
• Two 25.4
cm (10
in.) DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter cables
• Two power cords
•

In addition to the above, you will need the following (not supplied):
• One or two displays for every Kaleido-IP unit
• Keyboard, mouse for basic Kaleido-IP configuration
• One dedicated 1000Base-T (or 100Base-T) Ethernet switch with enough ports for your
Kaleido-IP units, client PCs, and Kaleido-RCP2 devices
• Dedicated 1000Base-T (or 100Base-T) Ethernet switches
• Up to three more dedicated 1000Base-T (or 100Base-T) Ethernet switches for
equipment with four network adapters to connect to high-bitrate data streams
• Up to five more dedicated 1000Base-T (or 100Base-T) Ethernet switches for y
equipment with six network adapters to connect to high-bitrate data streams
