TCP/UDP Port Usage
The various Kaleido-IP communication protocols require access to specific ports. In
networks where a firewall is present between device A and device B, the ports used to
communicate
from
device A
to
device B must be open on the incoming (external) side of
the firewall.
From client to multiviewer
The following ports must be open on the Client (i.e., the workstation running XEdit):
From multiviewer to client
From multiviewer to multiviewer
The following ports, used for inter-frame communications, are open by default on all
Kaleido Software systems:
Note:
All necessary ports are open by default on the multiviewer. There is
no mechanism provided for changing the default settings.
