Section H. Adjustments

 

H21

 

Adjusting bearings (2)  of drive 

pinion  (1)  of FDA reduction gears’ 

bodies

 

Observe the following sequence of 

adjustment:

 

- unscrew nuts and dismount the 

wheel; 
- unscrew bolts  (5)  and using 

dismantling bolts dismount upper (6) 

and lower (9) axles. To make reduction 

gear dismounting easier, wrap it with 

steel rope and lift, having balanced 

reduction gear mass; 

- pull suspended reduction gear out of 

body sleeve; 

- unscrew bolts  (8)  and, removing cut 

adjusting spacers (3) placed between cup 

(7) and body (4) adjust clearance in 

bearings. It should not exceed 0.05 mm. 

Make assembly in the reverse order.
