The precision is at your discretion, but it affects the size of the exported file. If you
changed the project settings to match the size, you can export your OBJ file with the
same settings as before, but make sure you set the Scale to 1. It is recommended that
you select either
Triangles or Quads as the value of the Faces field.
3DS Max—Exporting FBX format
In the FBX Advanced Options, it is important to set the value of the Scene units converted
to field to Meters and to set the Up axis field to Y-up . See Figure H.10, “3DS Max—FBX
Export Options: units and axis” .

Make sure that on the scale, your grid size equals 1 unity on the scene.
