Appendix B: Replacing a power-cord cap
The Barco Media Server ships with an IEC power cord. Different locations (even within
the same country) may require a different power cord cap to connect the server to a
power outlet. Because of the variety of power cord caps used worldwide, Barco cannot
make specific recommendations for the power cord cap. Contact a local authority for
the type of power cord cap needed. When installing the power cord cap, note that the
cores in the mains lead are colored according to the following code:
• green and yellow = earth
• blue = neutral
• brown = live

• Connect the green and yellow core to the plug terminal marked with
the letter “E,” or by the earth symbol
or coloured green, or green and
yellow.
• Connect the blue core to the terminal marked with the letter “N” or
coloured black.
• Connect the brown core to the terminal marked with the letter “L” or
coloured red.
