Risk associated with maintenance
and service during operation
Maintenance and service must not
be performed while the device is in
use! The respective device must be
switched off before maintenance and
service work are performed.
Risk associated with performance of
maintenance and service by unau-
thorized persons
Maintenance and service may be per-
formed only by specialized personnel
authorized by ASSKEA GmbH or by
ASSKEA GmbH itself.
Risk associated with performance of
maintenance and service without suf-
ficient documents
Maintenance and service must be
performed taking into account the rel-
evant service instructions for the re-
spective ASSKEA secretion aspirator
M- and S-series. ASSKEA GmbH will
also provide additional documents on
request, if these can assist the service
staff.
WARNING: Modification of the ME de-
vice is not permitted!

ASSKEA GmbH does not guarantee proper
functioning of the ASSKEA secretion
aspirators M- and S-series nor is ASSKEA
GmbH liable for property damage or person-
al injury, if
- original ASSKEA accessories or spare parts
are not used,
- the user instructions in this instruction for
use are not followed,
- installation, settings, modifications, en-
hancements and/or repairs are not per-
formed by ASSKEA GmbH or by personnel
authorized by ASSKEA GmbH,
- the safety seal has been removed or is
damaged.
4.5 Inspection of the ASSKEA secre-
tion aspirators M- and S-series
ASSKEA GmbH offers its partners and
customers fast and proper processing
as well as required testing services.
The ASSKEA secretion aspirators M- and
S-series are maintenance-free, if used accord-
ing to the instruction for use with the excep-
tion of components with limited shelf-life.
Perform a visual and functional check prior to
each use. Make sure to include the accesso-
ries for the corresponding device.
Opening the device and repairs must be
performed only by ASSKEA GmbH or by
specialized personnel authorized by
ASSKEA GmbH in compliance with the ser-
vice documentation specified by the man-
ufacturer as well as with technical and hy-
gienic precautionary measures.
The device may be sent back for repair to
ASSKEA GmbH directly or via the specialty
dealer from whom you purchased the device.
Clean and disinfect all accessories prior to re-
turning the device. The device itself must be
treated with a surface disinfectant (see sec-
tion 4.1.2 or 4.2.2). Please note the guidelines
relating to decontamination before shipping
(see section 6.1).
Please notify ASSKEA GmbH prior to return-
ing the device to prevent time lags and label
the shipping carton for the device with ‘Used
Medical Device’.
